A suggestive night-time showcase through the streets of Paris yesterday evening wrapped up Tour de France, and with it the unforgettable, green and white adventure of Astoria, official supplier of team Cannondale at the 100th edition of the Grande Boucle.
The final was tinged in green thanks to the highly prestigious points’ jersey captured by Peter Sagan, the unrestrained talent who repeated his 2012 accomplishment to confirm his nickname the Tourminator, firing up the public with fantastic sports thrills and moments of authentic showmanship, sealing his exploits with a signature ‘wheelie’.
The typical move was also on display on the Alpe d’Huez, scene of one of the most significant stages in the Tour de France, bringing plenty of thrills to all Cannondale fans as well as Astoria guests: the 18th fraction was the setting for a long break by Moreno Moser, another super young white-green talent who reached the finish line third thanks to a high class performance, while the seventh stage was a veritable hymn to team sprit as Sagan won with the valuable help of his team mates.
The green jersey clinched by the Slovak phenomenon could only represent the perfect consecration of the partnership deal between team Cannondale and Astoria, the prestigious brand that features ‘green vision’ as one of its principal core values.
