The most important international event regarding the world of coffee organized in Europe by SCAE (Speciality Coffee Association of Europe) is getting ready to touch down in Nice: from the 26th to the 28th of June, the coffee industry will move its general headquarters to the Acropolis Exhibition Centre, the location hosting the 2013 edition of SCAE World of Coffee. Astoria will be renewing its presence among the headlining exhibitors.
The SCAE event will host conferences, training seminars and the finals for four world class coffee competitions managed by the WCE (World Coffee Events): The World Latte Art Championship, The World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship, The World Cup Tasters Championship and The World Coffee Roasting Championship. The Astoria range will be on display at stand B23, on an overall surface of 40 m², where people can get a look at the flagship Plus4You machine in action. It will be installed in the two- and three- brew group versions with carbon/chrome and white/ chrome detailing as well as an auto-steamer device. The super-automatic Gemma touch screen machine can also be admired up close, complete with accessories like a “fridge module” and a “cup-warming module”. It will be on display next to the lighting and design features of the Gloria, Pratic Avant, Settanta and Tanya models.
In the evening of June 26th the Plus4You will be the special guest at the beach party charity initiative promoted by Coffee Kids, a non-profit organization committed to targeted interventions in the fields of education, healthcare and microcredit in support of the people who work on coffee plantations in Latin America. Our machine is sustainable in terms of energy savings as well as for the economic contribution offered to social and economic development in coffee producing countries. The top-of-the-line Astoria model will be installed in its three- brew group version in white and chrome at the Hi Park Beach in Nice, the location chosen to host the exclusive event sponsored by Astoria.
During the party, representatives from Coffee Kids will receive a check for more than $45,000, part of the profit from sales of the Plus4You, the machine that has supported Coffee Kids since its market launch. Thanks to the Plus4You installed on the boardwalk in Nice, baristas participating in the event will be able to show off their skills and creativity in the preparation of excellent espressos and cappuccinos.
